Traumatisms
Here is a list of principle pathologies in body building
practiced in health or sports clubs or at
home.
|

Some
injuries can occur because of the use of a hardware which is not appropriate or
a bad execution of the movements.
People likely to be concerned are more particularly the beginner (technical faults), sportsmen (women)
who are recovering a physical activity after a long period of stop, the high level sportsmen
(women) due to over-training.
Possible traumatisms:
Certain sports cause more traumatisms or
injuries than the others. Statistically, the
most important sports are football, rugby, skiing. Limbers who generally undergo injuries
are the knees and the lumbar area. It's the 20-30 years old people who are more touched
with a proportion important muscular accidents .

Prevention of risks of
injuries:
-
See a
doctor before the practice of
sport activity.
- Progressive and consequent
warm-up before exercises.
- Correct
execution of exercises, movements, or technical movements.
- Respect
periods of rest between exercises.
- Practice
stretching.
- Do
not do over-training (fractures of tiredness, reactions slow down and so on ...
)
- Think of hydrating yourself sufficiently and
have a balanced nutrition.
- Do a muscular work generalized then to individualize and to adapt the
exercises to the activity considered.
- Use protections adapted to the practiced sport (specific shoes, helmet, gloves, protect teeth, tibiae
...)
-
Don't use an unsuited hardware or a damaged one.
|
|
Therapies:
Treatments are numerous. According to the nature of pathology, it will be necessary of :
- To take rest even if that is not always easy to accept.
- The immobilization of the zone touched with bindings, strapping, knuckle or plaster.
- To take drugs anti-pains, relaxing drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, under medical
control.
- To make thermal therapies.
- To make practice articular handling by experienced doctors.
-
Intravenous injections of medicine into small quantities, by a doctor.
- Massages because the intervention of the physiotherapist
improves vascularization locally, to heat and excite the muscle. The massage thus has an anti-pain role.
