The
three great families of food molecules are the carbohydrates, the lipids and the proteins. They are brought in our body by our nutrition. It's
necessary that our food is as varied as possible.
We need to eat in quantity and in quality to live and to build us because the food has
three main roles an energy role (heating capacity), a functional
(cellular) and a plastic (growth, recovery).
It should be specified that in the case of weight overload
it will be necessary to seek maintaining of our energy balance. Energy spent will have to be equal to that
eaten. If the total number of calories introduced by food
is equal to the total metabolic needs, the weight will not undergo variations. On the other hand if the calories introduced by food are higher than calories spent,
the surplus calories are partly stored in the liver and the muscles. For the remainder, they will be accumulated in fat tissues.
The practice of movements or exercises will enable us to increase our energy expenditure, whereas our feeding will credit our account with calories.
